LISA (Forestville)

Vocal / Piano

Lisa is from a long line of classroom teachers, so it came as little surprise for her to be called upon during high school to commence a job teaching English. Through high school, she continued tutoring students in both English and Mathematics and then discovered her true calling - teaching music. Her ensuing Psychology degree gave her some insight into the varied ways in which different people learn, and she enjoys the challenge of figuring out what works best for different students. Lisa has been teaching piano to young children part-time for almost 20 years, and in recent years has started vocal coaching for beginners as well. She is particularly passionate about teaching beginner students and seeing them progress from the discovery of making new sounds into flourishing musicians.
